Bat for a Chance is a UK charity that uses cricket as a tool for social change. We collect donated cricket equipment from across the game and redistribute it to players, clubs and projects throughout the UK and around the world, turning unused kit into real opportunity for deserving causes.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You'll run our new warehouse in Staplehurst, Kent, taking charge of getting quality donated cricket kit out to the players, clubs and projects who need it, both across the UK and overseas. It suits someone organized and digitally confident, who is equally happy managing the tracker and getting stuck into boxing, lifting and loading.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Running the warehouse
- Take day-to-day charge of the warehouse, keeping it organized and running
smoothly. - Once requests for kit are approved, you'll own the fulfilment of all UK orders, from
boxing up through to dispatching via Royal Mail Click & Drop. - You'll have the responsibility to keep applicants informed on what we can send
and when their kit will arrive.
Managing a warehouse assistant
- In the busy summer peak period, you'll manage a temporary assistant to help stay
on top of orders and deliveries, always ensuring they're clear on what needs to be
done and by when.
International orders
- Box up orders heading overseas, create itemized packing lists and prepare the
commercial invoice for each shipment.
Kit collections
- Check inventory and keep our stock tracker accurate and up to date.
- Keep the warehouse well stocked, re-ordering boxes, tape, pens and other
essentials as needed. - Manage communications with donors and schedule kit collections around your
own diary and workload.
WHY WORK FOR US?
- Make a real difference to cricketers and clubs across the UK and world.
- Take genuine ownership of the warehouse and logistics at a fast-growing charity.
- Build valuable experience across operations, logistics and customer service.
