3. Role Purpose:
To administer all aspects of Cricket & Sports Science Education including accreditation, course content, coaching coaches at the Centre of Excellence, (CoE) BCCI, Bengaluru
4. Key Accountabilities:
Main job duties/responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, administer, implement and review existing coaching courses
• To conduct and coordinate courses for coaches throughout the country for Level A, B and C.
• To conduct and coordinate Refresher courses as required.
• Use software such as Athlete Management system, Video Analytics, GPS enabled and other wearable devices and other cricket related software to derive game related analytics which will help pinpoint areas of improvement for different facets of the game, be it individual player skills or strategy-oriented areas. Assist Head Cricket and other coaches in this area.
• Work with the Head Cricket, COE on the development of online initiatives
• Develop Levels A, B and C Coaching Courses in consultation with the Head Cricket, COE and elite panel of coaches
• Oversee the ongoing re-accreditation of coaches on a regular basis
• Formulate and documents course content for all aspects of Cricket coaching and all levels of coaching to world class standards
• Liaise with the BCCI Umpires Panel and BCCI Head Curator to assist in the facilitation of courses / seminars relevant to these facets of the game, including conduction of examinations
• Assist the Head Cricket in planning, conducting and reviewing high quality coach intake for COE, ZCA and specialist camps
• Help formulate Coaching review MIS as well a Continuous Evaluation system for Coaches at the COE.
• Assess reported suspect bowling actions of players directed to the COE and report findings to the Cricket Operations/ COE committee when required
• To oversee and develop an age and sex appropriate Nutrition program for Cricket players in conjunction with Head Strength and Conditioning. Oversee the quality of nutrition provided to all trainees who undergo training at any of COE/ZCA venues
• Develop a modern and world class Mental conditioning program adjusted for each level of cricketer and their requirements. Work with Head Cricket to identify such coaches who will provide appropriate mentoring and mental conditioning,
• Plan and oversee budget requirements for coach education, intake and specialist camps
• To assist Physiotherapy and Strength and Conditioning Head Coaches in conducting accreditation as well as assistance in devising courses for Continuous Medical Education in their verticals.
• To help in formulating research programs in various areas of Cricketing Coaching and cricket related areas which are deemed appropriate by the Head Cricket, COE.
• To assist individual State Academies in their education and training efforts including setting up such academies.

5. Operating Environment:
Challenging working environment. The person will be working as a part of a multi-disciplinary support Team.
Ensuring that the level of education provided and sports science utilized, remains best practice and is considered as cutting edge. Reviewing scientific and relevant educational journals, communicating with fellow professionals, and attending continuing education programs and scientific conferences is part of the job role.
Maintaining effective lines of communication with all key stakeholders- Head Cricket, Selectors, S & C team, administrators at the State Academies, India team coaches, Selectors, and cricket operations administrators is a necessary and vital part of the job role.

Strong and effective communication is key to success in the role. The person appointed in this role must himself person is expected to be the main communication spoke at the COE in all matters related to cricket education

8. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
• Must have a proven track record in the development and delivery of game education courses
• Must be a level 3 or higher active coach with impeccable credentials
• Ideally have international credibility either as a coach or player
• Ideally have a specialist background in conducting training
• Ability to work effectively with a wide diversity of cultures
• Proven experience on reporting on player progress to participants in coaching programmes
• Strong competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Expert knowledge and skills to support the BCCI High performance programs
Professional experience:
• At least 5 years’ experience in handling athletes at an elite level
• Experience as a Trainer with Cricket players essential

• A proven ability to manage and interact with people from different backgrounds and cultures
