Berkshire Cricket Recruiting Women’s 1st XI Assistant Coach for 2026 Season

Berkshire Cricket areinviting applications for the role of Women’s 1st XI Assistant Coach to support the team’s 2026 Tier 3 campaign.

The club is seeking a casual cricket coach who is passionate about developing women’s cricket and contributing to a positive, inclusive and high-performance environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Women’s 1st XI coaching team to support both training and matchday delivery throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and delivery of high-quality training sessions
  • Assist with matchday preparation and in-game delivery during the season
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and high-performance team environment
  • Provide individual and unit-based coaching support, including technical and tactical feedback
Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum ECB Core Coach qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with bowling units (desirable)
  • Valid ECB DBS Certificate
  • Safeguarding & Protecting Children Certificate
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching team
  • Availability to commit to the majority of outlined training sessions and matchdays
Position Details
  • Role: Assistant Coach – Berkshire Women’s 1st XI
  • Contract Type: Casual
  • Remuneration: Paid role, based on experience and in line with payment policy
  • Location: Training in Reading; matchdays at various locations (including national travel)
