Job Summary
The Century Cricket Centre coach is responsible for the growth and development of the centre's members. A role that offers an opportunity to make a difference in the grass root cricket system in Houston. Our coaches will provide the technical, tactical, physical and mental support and provide a growth environment to see members thrive and expand their cricket abilities.
Responsibilities
1. Key Coaching Responsibilities
- Carrying out one to one coaching sessions with members
- Provide video analysis with members to improve their game
- Organising group training sessions for small membership groups
- Write and develop coaching plans based off members wants/needs
- Manage coaching calendar
- Recruit members to undertake coaching sessions at the centre
- Support centre coordinator with membership needs
- Engage and use coaching software from Century Cricket App to provide support to members
- Filming coaching/technical content like drills and training activities
- Communicate with members to satisfy any coaching enquiry
- Communicate and support roster of members receiving coaching from you via our app
2. Secondary Coaching Responsibilities
- Potential to manage casual coaching roster to fill membership coaching requests
- Identify non members to get coaching at the centre and transition into members
- Engage and run sessions in local community to act as marketing for the centre
- Develop coaching and mentoring products to support members needs
3. Relationship Coordination
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships within schools, cricket clubs, associations and state sporting bodies to support collaboration and program growth.
- Serve as the primary contact for key stakeholders, including parents, coaches, and partner organizations.
- Ensure open and effective communication with stakeholders to promote engagement, address feedback, and enhance program satisfaction.
- Foster positive relationships to encourage ongoing participation and program expansion.
Key Selection Criteria
1. Qualifications
- Cricket Australia Level 2 (representative) accreditation (or equivalent) as a minimum
- Relevant first aid certificate
2. Key Experience
- Professional playing experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years coaching professionally.
3. Skills and Abilities
- Solid understanding of tactical, mental and physical aspects of cricket on top of technical coaching knowledge.
- Proven track record of developing cricketers through constraint based coaching.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work on their own and manage their own tasks/diary
4. Personal Attributes:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented mindset.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality service and maintaining a positive member experience.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Additional Information:
- Previous experience as a cricket coach
- Alternate working hours (nights and weekends) required
Key Performance Indicators:
1. Operational Efficiency:
- Maintain a high standard of facility cleanliness and operational readiness.
- Ensure all coaching enquiries and inbox communications are addressed within set Timeframes (acknowledged within 24 hrs).
2. Program Delivery:
- Ensure all scheduled coaching runs on time.
3. Customer and Stakeholder Satisfaction:
- Maintain high levels of member satisfaction through prompt, professional service.
- Ensure retention rate of coaching roster at 80%.
- Minimum of 2 sessions booked for any new coaching customer after their first session.
4. Business Growth and Innovation:
- Minimum of 1 new centre member a month signs up to personal 1 on 1 coaching.
