ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Finance Business Analyst to join Cricket Australia and play a key role in strengthening our budgeting, forecasting, and commercial decision making. This role delivers key analytical support for major initiatives and develops long‑range forecasts that shape CA’s strategy.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders and their teams, delivering high quality forecasting, budgeting and financial insights. Your analysis of performance, trends and opportunities will directly support our strategic and financial objectives—helping drive better decisions and improved outcomes across the organisation, quality forecasting, budgeting and financial insights. Other key responsibilities include:
- Working alongside the Senior Finance Business Analyst to maintain and enhance the corporate model, monthly forecast updates, and key cashflow and covenant reporting.
- Lead core budgeting processes, including consolidation, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and ad‑hoc analysis for senior finance leaders.
- Deliver financial modelling and analysis to support major procurement negotiations and track resulting benefits in budgets/forecasts.
- Maintain and proactively review the procurement initiatives pipeline in partnership with the Procurement team.
- Partner with senior leaders to provide monthly reporting, performance insights, accurate forecasting, and strategic budgeting aligned to organisational goals.
- Drive commercial outcomes through cost management, risk/opportunity analysis, and scenario modelling to improve business performance.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As the successful Finance Business Analyst, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance or equivalent industry experience and a professional qualification such as CAANZ/CPA (or working towards).
- Strong experience in financial modelling, analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
- High analytical capability, including the use of BI and reporting tools.
- Ability to present complex financial insights and recommendations clearly and impactfully.
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder relationship skills.
- High commercial acumen, curiosity, and proven business partnering capability.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems skills, with a collaborative, team focused approach.
- Experience developing business and strategy cases and a background in consultancy or previous finance business partnering roles is desirable.
