ABOUT THE ROLE

The Marketing Coordinator - Fan Engagement plays a key role in supporting engagement with multicultural communities to support play, attendance and following of cricket in Australia. It includes digital activities through SQUADs channels, community events and associated projects.

We seek a Marketing Coordinator within our Digital, Marketing and Communications department. We’re looking for someone to deliver smart, integrated campaigns driving fan and community engagement with our multicultural fans. It’s a critical role coordinating and delivering for our marketing and community stakeholders.

We have big ambitions for this space, so we’re looking for drive, passion, and energy to bring our plans to life.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager- Fan Engagement you’ll be responsible for:

  •  Plan and implement digital activities through SQUADs channels, creating content and monitoring of pages.
  • Structure a content plan to capitalise on storytelling opportunities via owned and earned channels to grow connection and affinity to Australian Cricket.
  •  Build best practice social and digital initiatives and explore further opportunities for digital following and growth.
  • Develop and implement clear guidelines for content moderation.
  • Support the delivery of Australian Cricket's Multicultural Action Plan, including initiatives aligned to digital marketing and community engagement.
  • Help deliver community engagement events for multicultural communities, including but not limited to cultural and community events and trophy tours to drive engagement outcomes.
  • Build relationships with multicultural community groups across the cricket season.
  • Contribute ideas and insights to broader marketing plans, ensuring campaigns are inclusive and resonate with diverse communities.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  •  A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in marketing and communications
  •  Relevant tertiary qualifications: e.g. Communications, Marketing degree
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms and how to manage a variety of accounts and pages
  • Passionate about content creation and connecting with a diverse range of audiences
  • Excellent communication, organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Experience building relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to solve problems on the go
  • Strong understanding of different cultures and communities and able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences
