ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Events & Operations team as a fixed-term National Event Coordinator for 12 months. This role forms an integral part of the events team, assisting planning and operational event delivery of international cricket matches with a primary focus on facilitating brilliant experiences for fans, supporting attendance growth and maximising event profitability at match.

We are entering into our biggest summer of Cricket yet so we are seeking a highly passionate, motivated person who can assist, and lead identified elements of the operational planning for CA international cricket content. You will also be responsible for:

  • Support cross functional and stakeholder planning and delivery of cricket events to enhance fan experiences, attendance, and profitability.
  • Assist with event debriefs, planning sessions, and documentation management for venue schedules.
  • Manage contractor inductions, catering, parking, and uniform logistics for staff and stakeholders.
  • Support seasonal resources and state/territory agreements as needed.
  • Contribute to Match Return Forecasts and actuals for international events.
  • Take on assigned event operations projects as required.
  • Provide administrative support to Security and Accreditation teams, including apparel orders and pre-event logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with ICC, venue, commercial, media, and player agreements.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As the successful National Event Coordinator, you will have:

  • Diploma or degree in Sport or Event Management (desirable).
  • Event experience (preferably within sport) with a proven ability to deliver brilliant experiences for fans.
  • Proven ability to successfully to delegate tasks.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Understanding of the sports and entertainment industry and venues desirable.
  • A drive to create and deliver best practice systems and experiences.
  • Ability to sustain long and irregular hours and travel as required.
  • An understanding of cricket's customs and stakeholders is desirable
