ABOUT THE ROLE
It’s an exciting time at CA as we strengthen our commitment to a game and workplace where everyone feels they belong. We’re seeking a Senior Manager, Diversity & Inclusion to lead the next chapter of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) agenda—turning strategy into sustained, measurable impact across cricket. You’ll help ensure cricket is truly a sport for all.
In this role, you’ll set the DEI roadmap, bring leaders and teams on the journey, and embed inclusion into how we recruit, develop and support our people, and how we design our major moments, programs and partnerships. You’ll also lead our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) governance and delivery—helping build cultural safety, strong relationships and meaningful pathways.
If you’re a values-led, outcomes-driven leader who can translate ambition into action, we’d love to hear from you. This role is pivotal to creating safe, welcoming environments across cricket—on and off the field.
Reporting to the Head of People, Culture & Inclusion, you’ll be responsible for:
- Owning the DEI strategy, multi-year roadmap and annual delivery plan (including budget), with clear governance, reporting, and risk oversight.
- Leading RAP delivery and evolution, strengthening cultural safety, relationships and pathways with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders and advisory groups.
- Building inclusive leadership capability and accountability, and ensuring DEI continues to be forefront of our end-to-end people systems (recruitment, performance, talent, remuneration, flexibility and employee experience).
- Owning DEI insights and reporting (dashboards, data governance and action planning) to drive measurable progress and inform decisions.
- Managing key partnerships and benchmarking (e.g., Pride in Sport) and advising on inclusive communications, events and accessible environments.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Significant experience leading DEI strategy and organisational change in a complex organisation (sport, entertainment or large member-based environments desirable).
- Demonstrated capability delivering reconciliation commitments and cultural safety initiatives in partnership with First Nations communities and stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence advising senior leaders and navigating sensitive issues with judgement and care.
- Proven ability to embed DEI into people processes and leadership capability, translating principles into practical tools, standards and routines.
- Data-informed approach: experience using insights and reporting to shape priorities and measure impact.
- People leadership and/or strong matrix leadership experience (leading through influence).
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
Our employees at Cricket are gifted an additional week of leave at the end of the season! As a CA employee, you will also have other benefits including:
- Tickets to the Cricket for you to take your friends and family and experience Australia’s favourite game!
- A flexible working environment, meaning we strike the balance of what you need and what works for the business (this isn’t limited to working remotely)
- Discounts from our partners such as ASICS and salary packaging options
- A multitude of leave types including paid parental leave and volunteer leave
