Cricket Uganda (CU) is seeking the services of a Head Coach for the Cricket
Cranes Men’s National Team on a fixed-term contract. The role involves leading all coaching programs, fostering a high-performance environment, talent development and ensuring consistent success for the national team while reflecting Ugandan values and national pride.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and prepare the Men’s Team for international competitions, with
strategic plans focused on winning ICC and other regional events.
• Develop and manage coaching /support staff, ensuring technical and
tactical readiness.
• Establish and promote a high-performance environment with the help of
the coaching assistants/support staff while using effective player and team
management principles.
• Support the High Performance and Pathways Program, ensuring smooth
player transitions from U19 and development teams to the national side.
• Comply with and execute the selection policies, procedures, and
guidelines outlined in the Selection Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines.
• Motivate and inspire the Cricket Cranes Men's Team to excel.
• Oversee player development plans, tour reviews, and performance reports.
• Manage the performance of all national contracted and non-contracted
team players.
• Promote Cricket Uganda’s values through professionalism, media
engagement, team culture, and community representation.
Qualifications, Competence and Experience
• Level 3 coaching accreditation (ICC/ECB/CA/BCCI/CSA or equivalent).
• Minimum of Ten (10) years of coaching experience in professional cricket
(i.e., ICC Full member/ First Class Team/ ICC Associate Member)
• Understanding of cricketing culture, ODI cycle, and pathways of associate
members.
• Experience in coaching at the international level is advantageous.
• Experience in high-performance cricket coaching and talent
development.
• The candidate should be dependable, ethical, and hardworking, capable
of managing people, resolving conflicts, promoting diversity, and performing effectively under pressure.
• A proven track record of coaching achievement.
