The England Men’s Test Team is seeking expressions of interest from an experienced and innovative Performance Chef to support the delivery of world class nutrition within the England Men’s Cricket environment.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the pinnacle of international cricket, contributing directly to player health, preparation, performance, and recovery.

PURPOSE
To lead the planning, preparation, and delivery of performance focused food provision that consistently meets the demands of Test cricket, aligning with the team’s culture, nutritional strategy and performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high quality, performance driven food provision aligned to the demands of multi-day Test cricket.
• Work collaboratively with the Lead Nutritionist to align food provision with individual and squad level strategies.
• Plan and execute menus that support training adaptation, match performance, and recovery.
• Adapt food provision across multiple environments (team hotels, match venues and other locations as required).
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
• Ensure all food production and presentation meet the highest
standards.
• Manage logistics including sourcing ingredients, kitchen setup, and operational planning across domestic and international locations.
• Provide flexible support in line with the evolving demands of the international schedule.

• A team first mindset with a commitment to excellence.
• Demonstrable experience working as a chef within elite sport or high-performance environments.
• Strong understanding of performance nutrition principles and their practical application.
• Ability to operate effectively in high pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Highly adaptable with experience of working across different countries.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Level 4 Food Hygiene certified, demonstrating advanced expertise in food safety and best practice standards, alongside Level 3 Health & Safety certification with a strong foundation in compliance and risk management.
