Gemba is a leading organisation in Sports and Entertainment across Communications, Insights, Strategy and Data & Analytics.

Gemba’s name is inspired by the Japanese origins of the word, to find the source of the truth. Since 2006 we have demonstrated a passion for understanding fans. In a sport and entertainment world that is becoming increasingly competitive and fragmented, fan insight is critical.

We deliver results for our clients. Whether it be better commercial outcomes or driving greater participation, this is our ultimate proof point, demonstration of shaping a better future for sport & entertainment.

About The Role

Gemba is looking for an enthusiastic Account Executive to support and execute key sponsorship projects across content, social, events, activations, TVCs and more. While it would be beneficial to have a couple of years of experience in an agency, this role could even be ideal for a graduate with any degree of experience in managing campaigns from creative briefs to production delivery keen to kick-start their career in sport and entertainment.

Based in Sydney and reporting to a Senior Account Director, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day workflow of client projects, helping to deliver engaging sponsorship campaigns, and effectively managing budgets, timelines and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the project management of key assigned accounts or projects and the broader Account Management team
  • Managing the development and execution of creative campaigns
  • Developing strong client relationships based on trust and integrity
  • Supporting the estimating and budgeting process
  • Supporting development of post-implementation reviews and reporting

About You

We’re looking for someone with relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, PR, or Events. Prior experience in an agency, while not mandatory, is preferred. Your exceptional communication skills, knack for building relationships, strong organisational abilities, and keen attention to detail will set you apart.

This role thrives on energy and adaptability. You’ll be juggling multiple tasks and projects, so we need someone who stays cool under pressure and loves the buzz of a busy environment.

Importantly, while we work hard, we believe in having fun too! A sense of humour and a positive, energetic personality will ensure you fit right in with our fantastic team. If this sounds like the perfect match for your skills and personality, we’d love to hear from you

Skills

  • Proven skills in managing the execution of marketing communications (i.e. Content, Advertising Production, Sponsorship, Events, Digital, Content, Social) from creative brief to production delivery
  • A good understanding of the creative development and communication planning process
  • Experience in managing budgets and negotiating with external suppliers
  • Strong project management skills, including process and procedures (e.g. timelines, project plans)
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
  • Valid ‘Working with Children Check, Driver’s License and Police Check

As you will be involved in activations for your clients, you will need to be prepared to work, on occasion, outside of normal office hours.
