The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the global governing body for the sport, which administers all aspects of international cricket.

We are currently looking for a high-performance Umpire Coach who will be based in their home country and can work from home. The Coaches report to the Manager – Umpire Coaches, and have two main purposes:

  • To performance manage, support, and coach their designated Elite, International, and Development panel umpires and any visiting umpires on assignment.
  • To work with the designated Home Boards in the development of training and talent identification strategies for the top domestic umpires in their areas.

Knowledge, Skills, Attitude and Experience

We are looking for an individual who possesses the following attributes:

  • A skilled and successful high-performance official and / or coach.
  • The ability to successfully establish, maintain, and develop professional relationships in an international context.
  • Demonstrated self-management and organisational abilities. A self-starter.
  • Successful application of coaching and mentoring skills, and the ability to tailor make individual professional development plans.
  • Proven ability to motivate, stimulate, inspire, and set standards.

Principal Accountabilities

The successful high-performance management of ICC International Umpires by the Umpire Coach will be measured by the following key accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement high performance programmes and plans for each of the designated ICC umpires.
  • Conduct umpire performance coaching review and reporting.
  • High performance training and development for umpires.
  • Administration & Other Activities.
