The International Cricket Council (‘ICC’) is the global governing body for the sport, which administers all aspects of international cricket.
We are recruiting a Women’s Cricket Officer. This role will play a key part in the implementation of the ICC’s strategy relating to women’s cricket.
Principal Accountabilities
Responsibilities of the Women’s Cricket Officer include but are not limited to;
- Cricket Operations processes such as reviewing reports from Members series.
- Supporting relevant departments in the development of female umpires across Member
countries. - Supporting the delivery of ICC women’s high-performance support programs.
- Supporting preparation for ICC meetings, Member conferences and knowledge-sharing
workshops - Delivery of the 100% Cricket Future Leaders Program, which support the promotion of
women in decision making positions within cricket’s management and coaching nstructures. - Supporting ICC departments in raising the profile of women’s cricket through activities in
partnership with ICC Members. - Supporting ICC departments in delivery of women’s health initiatives, including the design and delivery of women’s health sessions at ICC events, as well as research into women’s health.
- Supporting the relevant departments in the delivery of ICC Women’s Cricket Week and
other event linked activities.
Knowledge, Skills, Attitude and Experience
- Professional written and spoken English proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree and above, master’s degree would be desirable
- Minimum 3 years working in a similar role. Experience in a sports environment would be
desirable. - Strong women’s sports knowledge, working knowledge of the global sport and Olympic
ecosystem, with experience of playing sport an advantage; - Strong interpersonal communication, stakeholder management, report and proposal
writing skills. Experience working in multicultural environments would be desirable. - Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to combine original thinking and writing with strong AI competencies, advanced
computer literacy. - Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build partnerships across various sectors is
desirable. - A knowledge of the regulations of cricket or other sports would be desirable.
- Internally motivated, and able to take initiative and ownership of projects.
- Ability to be a team player with a collaborative approach.
Conditions of Employment
- The role is based in our Dubai Headquarters, United Arab Emirates.
- Must be comfortable working in a multi-stakeholder and global environment.
- Role includes some travel.
- May be asked to work outside of core working hours from time to time.
