Supports the preparation and maintenance of cricket grounds, pitches, and surrounding facilities while developing practical groundskeeping skills.

We have a full-time vacancy for a team member to join us at Kent Cricket, The County Ground, Beckenham, Worsley Bridge Road, Beckenham, Kent, BR3 1DR, to support us in maintaining the high-quality facilities that our players, members and visitors enjoy.

The successful applicant will assist in the maintenance and care of cricket squares, all other playing surfaces, and surrounding grounds.

The role is 40 hours per week, with additional hours being worked from April – October; you must have interest in this type of work, be physically fit and able given the strenuous requirements of the role, have good communication skills, as you will need to liaise with other Kent Cricket employees, external clients, and the public in a polite and friendly manner.

You may be required to work on weekends.

Introduction to Kent Cricket:

Founded in 1870, Kent Cricket is an English county cricket club, with its main base in Canterbury. Kent has a long history in cricket, and the club has always been a dominant force in English cricket.

The Club also has responsibility for all community cricket in Kent, meaning that it is the delivery hub for all men's and women's cricket countywide. Kent Cricket is at an exciting phase in its history. It is crucial that we must build on the achievements of the past, the recent progress, and move forward to ensure that cricket in Kent not only continues to prosper but is a leader.

We are looking to recruit one full-time (40 hours p/week) apprentice to join our Grounds Team at The County Ground, Beckenham, Worsley Bridge Road, Beckenham, Kent, BR3 1DR.

Applicants should have good communication skills, be able to learn and able to get on with people, have the ability to use their own initiative, be punctual, reliable, a good timekeeper and presentable, and able to work outside in all weathers in this physically demanding role.
