Contribute to the financial future of cricket in the Netherlands
Cricket in the Netherlands is growing rapidly, both nationally and internationally. To support this development in a financially sustainable way, the Royal Dutch Cricket Association (KNCB) is looking for a committed and knowledgeable treasurer. In this board role, you will safeguard the financial health of the federation and make a significant contribution to the further professionalisation and growth of cricket in the Netherlands.

About the role
As treasurer, together with the chair and secretary, you form part of the KNCB's executive board. Within the board, you are responsible for financial policy, financial management, and monitoring of the budget approved by the General Members' Meeting (ALV).

You work closely with the general director, the federation's office, the Finance Committee, and the accountant. In doing so, you ensure a transparent and future-proof financial policy and a professional financial organisation. You combine board-level responsibility with an understanding of the dynamics of a sports federation in which professionals and volunteers work closely together. The treasurer is accountable to the board and reports on the financial policy pursued during the ALV.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
• Monitoring the financial position and the budget of the federation as approved by the ALV.
• Preparing the annual budget.
• Preparing the annual financial statements (balance sheet and statement of income and expenditure).
• Overseeing accurate, transparent, and reliable financial administration, so that the federation's rights and obligations are insightful at all times.
• Collaborating with and supporting the Finance Committee, and providing interim financial accountability upon request.
• Serving as the point of contact for the accountant during the annual audit.
• Actively contributing to board-level decision-making on the Strategic Plan, the Annual Plan, and the budget.
• Advising the board and general director on financial and business economics matters.
• Helping shape a governance style based on high-level oversight, giving sufficient professional latitude to the general director and the federation's office.

Profile
We are looking for a treasurer who:
• is analytical, precise, and decisive, and is able to explain complex financial matters clearly;
• has financial and/or business economics expertise, preferably supplemented with knowledge of tax matters, governance, and subsidy funding;
• has extensive board-level experience, preferably within a complex or hybrid organisation involving both professionals and volunteers;
• radiates confidence and natural authority, and plays a connecting role within and outside the organisation;
• is able to advise with an independent perspective and a helicopter view;
• operates effectively within an association environment involving both societal and business interests;
• has an affinity with cricket and wishes to contribute to the further development and
professionalization of the KNCB;
• gives the general director and the federation's office the space to take responsibility within clear frameworks.

What we offer
• A socially relevant and visible board-level position within the KNCB.
• The opportunity to directly contribute to the financial health and continued growth of cricket in the Netherlands.
• Collaboration with a committed board, a professional federation office, clubs, volunteers, and international partners.
• The chance to influence the financial strategy of an ambitious and growing sports organisation with both national and international impact.
