Alongside our dedicated team of Cricket Development Coaches, we rely on ‘Casual’ Coaches to help us deliver our programmes within the Community, taking cricket to many that might not get opportunities to play at clubs or schools. There is no expectation on how many hours you work during a week/month/year and pay is hourly at competitive rates that can vary depending on the project and funding. You will receive kit and equipment to use on any projects as well as any necessary training and development required.
Some of the programmes our casual coaches support on are:
- Street Cricket – Funded by Chance to Shine, Street Cricket is a nationwide initiative that takes cricket to inner city or urban areas, aimed at engaging participants from 8-24 years for fun, active sessions.
- Super 1s Hubs – provided through Lords Taverners, Super 1s gives young people aged 12-25 with disabilities the chance to regularly play cricket. By creating community cricket hubs for young people to receive coaching, compete against peers and enjoy the benefits of sport and an active lifestyle.
- Walking Cricket – For those looking for slower paced opportunities to enjoy our beautiful game.
Programmes take place during evenings and weekends, whilst some take place during the day. There are opportunities to fit these around other commitments such as work or study.
If successful, you will be required to undergo an Enhanced ECB DBS with relevant barred list check.
