JOB PURPOSE

Provide operational support to the Director of Cricket, coaching staff, support staff and players to ensure the efficient planning and organisation of the Professional Cricket Department.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

• Report to the Director of Cricket with whom the Cricket Operations Manager will work closely.

• Working with all the coaches, support staff and players to provide effective administration.

• Develop strong relationships with several external stakeholders, such as the ECB, PCA, local cricket clubs and schools.

• Assist with LCCC cricket events and operations staff.

JOB SPECIFIC TASKS

Players

• Be the key point of contact for players on a wide range of matters.

• Assisting with the preparation and management of the cricket operations budget.

• Deal with registration of all professional players including loan players.

• Work with the Finance department in assuring all necessary and relevant players, coaches and support staff expenses are arranged and managed.

• To arrange all aspects of overseas players and overseas tours including visas, travel arrangements etc.

• Source and manage all players housing that is required including rental, utilities, wi-fi, etc.

Fixtures and Venues

• Co - ordinate fixture and venue allocation for all Men’s professional squad fixtures and training.

• Liaise closely with coaches and venues to arrange the fixture lists for the second team.

• Deal with all the catering confirmations with the Venues hosting the second team.

Officials

• Maintain listing of all ECB umpire appointments for competitive fixtures.

• Point of contact for umpires and match officials.

Travel

• Arrange with travel agent and manage all accommodation and travel bookings for playing and support staff, confirming room lists and hotel arrangements.

• Arrange with the club’s bus company on timings of travel for both professional Men’s squads.

ECB / PCA

• Manage all workshops and training provided by the ECB / PCA e.g. anti-corruption training, PCA liaison, anti-drug messaging etc.

Attend the annual ECB Operations meeting and feedback key issues to relevant staff.

• Manage and update the CPA (ECB) database from a cricket perspective.

Equipment

• Order all necessary cricket balls for the teams and manage throughout the season.

• Manage the playing and training kit for players and staff.

• Liaise with the players re helmets, cricket equipment in line with the ECB guidelines.

Other Duties

• To contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of Leicestershire County Cricket Club

• Actively demonstrate commitment to own continuous professional (CPD) and increase knowledge and adoption of ‘best practice’.
