Role: Early Engagement Programme Lead (Girls) Part-time
Salary: £12,000 per annum
Contract: 2 year fixed term
Hours: 20 hours per week, with flexibility over specific days worked.
This role includes regular evening and weekend work, aligned with programme delivery, events, and community engagement.

Responsible to: Women Operations & Girls County Age Group Pathway Lead
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead and deliver of all aspects of the newly defined Early Engagement Phase, aimed at broadening the talent pool for girls in Leicestershire and Rutland, specifically within the U10–U12 age groups.
This includes overseeing the assessment process, winter and summer training, and a summer match programme. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with coaching experience in a performance environment who can
positively impact the development of girls’ cricket across the region. The role will focus on people and programme delivery through collaboration with key staff and external stakeholders.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and manage the Girls’ Early Engagement Phase (U10–U12), including communication with parents and coordination of coaching staff.
• Build strong links with internal and external partners to support non-traditional entry into the pathway (e.g., MCC Hubs, Chance to Shine, Wicketz).
• Design and deliver a fair and transparent selection process, and oversee the winter training, summer training, and match programme in collaboration with other coaches.
• Support selection and deselection decisions across the Girls’ Pathway.
• Assist with coaching the U13 Girls’ team (2026).
• Provide coaching support for the Girls’ County Age Group (CAG) and Emerging Players Programme (EPP).
• Scout talent at CAG fixtures, Leicestershire & Rutland Youth Cricket League matches, and cup competitions.
• Manage programme-specific budgets and provide reports as required.
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are upheld at all times.
