The Role:
The role focuses on enhancing Leicestershire County Cricket Club’s visibility and engagement through strategic PR and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage content for leicestershireccc.co.uk and related platforms.
  • Oversee and optimize LCCC and Uptonsteel County Ground social media channels.
  • Identify and leverage emerging digital channels and opportunities.
  • Create and implement content strategies for digital and traditional media.
  • Produce engaging video content for the club’s YouTube channel.
  • Handle copywriting, match coverage, and reporting for all matchdays.
  • Manage media operations on matchdays and organise press/media events.
  • Develop and report on LCCC’s communications and PR strategy.
  • Maintain press relations and media database; liaise with local and national press.
  • Manage the club’s image/video archive.
  • Collaborate with retained agencies (Web, Insight, Data & CRM) to enhance outreach.
  • Coordinate player appearance requests with the Cricket Department.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Experience in developing and executing digital strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of communication and PR strategy.
  • Understanding of cricket for effective reporting and coverage.
  • Creative thinker with problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent copywriting and administrative skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings/weekends.
  • High levels of reliability, integrity, and trust.
