Location: MCA Sharad Pawar Museum, Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
Reports to: Curator/Sr. Manager
Job Description
The IT Manager will oversee all technology operations within the museum, ensuring the smooth functioning of IT systems that support exhibitions, visitor services, and museum security. This includes managing networks, digital displays, ticketing systems, and security surveillance while implementing innovative digital solutions to enhance the visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Museum IT Infrastructure Management
o Manage installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of museum IT systems including servers, networks, POS/ticketing systems, and cloud applications.
o Ensure uninterrupted operation of digital exhibits, interactive kiosks, and
audio-visual installations.
o Maintain and optimize IT hardware, software, and storage for collections and digital archives.
2. Digital Exhibits & Visitor Experience
o Support and update interactive displays, AR/VR experiences, and
touchscreen panels.
o Coordinate with curators and exhibition teams to implement technology for new exhibits.
o Ensure smooth functioning of online booking, ticketing, and visitor
management systems.
3. Security & Surveillance Systems
o Oversee CCTV, access control, and alarm systems integration with IT
infrastructure.
o Implement data security measures for digital collections and visitor data.
o Conduct periodic IT risk assessments and cybersecurity audits.
4. Team & Vendor Management
o Supervise IT staff, AV technicians, and outsourced service providers.
o Coordinate with external vendors for maintenance of specialized museum
technology.
o Plan and oversee IT-related budgets, procurement, and maintenance schedules.
5. Innovation & Digital Transformation
o Explore and implement digital solutions for improved visitor engagement.
o Support the museum’s digitization and archiving initiatives.
o Keep the museum updated with emerging technologies relevant to cultural institutions.
Key Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and AV systems.
• Experience with museum technologies like digital signage, interactive displays, and visitor management systems.
• Familiarity with CCTV, access control, and security integrations.
• Leadership and project management abilities.
• Problem-solving skills with a focus on minimizing downtime.
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certifications in networking, AV systems, or cybersecurity are a plus.
Experience:
• 3-4 years in IT management, with experience in museums, cultural institutions, or large public venues preferred.
REMUNERATION: ₹ 50,000 per month
DATE OF JOINING: IMMEDIATE.
Preference will be given to candidates who are former cricketers with experience in the game at the domestic level.
