DIMENSIONS OF ROLE
Normal working hours will be Five shifts of nine hours rostered between Monday to Sunday, including one-hour unpaid lunch on each day worked: making a total of 40 working hours per week.
KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE
- To take ownership of the administration and coordination of staffing at Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
- To support the team and relevant Key Stakeholders in the successful delivery of the Staffing function, and to assist with major cricket events, Events & Experiences (E&E), recruitment, training, payroll, uniform, taxi bookings and general office administration when necessary.
- The role requires a commitment to staff welfare, financial awareness, and adherence to MCC policies and procedures and current legislation at all times.
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support the successful coordination and delivery of casual staffing function for the F&B department: Events & Experience, Hospitality, Bars, Kitchen, Logistics and Cellar when required.
- Responsible for coordinating the recruitment cycle of the FOH & BOH areas as required. From CV screening to candidate job offer.
- Attend all casual staff recruitment, induction and training sessions.
- Coordinate staff check-in for Events & Experiences and Match Days when required and assist with the set-up/breakdown of the staff check-in/out area.
- Attend the weekly Operations Meeting when necessary and coordinate with the Ops team any staff requirements they need, ensuring quality and consistency in their teams.
- Distribute all staff feeding information weekly.
- Ensure the candidates are contacted in a timely manner, and a good maintenance of OCCY (Recruitment platform).
- Assist with the delivery of recruitment, induction, and training of casual staff.
- Support candidate attraction methods for casual recruitment.
- Monitor staff quality and ensure staff consistency is maintained.
- Drive brand representation and uniform standards throughout the recruitment process and within the existing casual team.
- Ensure compliance of casual staff files and training records
- Support Casual Worker Agreement administration, eligibility to work checks, referencing, vein scan/app registration and staff pass issue.
- Support the input of new starter information and maintenance of staff details on the workforce management system.
- Support administration and maintenance of casual staff files and training records, and also general administration: bookings, timesheets and any other relevant administrative tasks.
- Ensuring staff queries are acknowledged and resolved in a timely manner.
- Ensuring a good maintenance of the staffing mailbox.
- Support payroll administration, when necessary, by authorising timesheets on a timely manner.
- Support the coordination of casual staff accommodation, parking and taxi arrangements when necessary.
- Ensure the ‘Staffing Supplies’ box is maintained and replenished.
- Support the Staffing Manager & Assistant Staffing Manager in the organisation of major matches.
- Assist with staff general communications.
- Act appropriately as a representative of the Club at all times.
- Attend relevant training courses and support other events.

- Attendance at all major match-days, including weekends, as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS – SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a similar role with a strong team ethos.
- Experience of organising and delivering recruitment and training centres for high volumes of staff.
- Flexibility with work content and hours.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Excellent organisational, time management and prioritising skills.
- Calm and efficient when under pressure and working against tight deadlines.
- Experience with database programs including proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – polite, friendly and approachable.

- Knowledge of food Health & Safety requirements.
- Knowledge and understanding of payroll processes.
