We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Accountant to join our Finance team on a 6 month fixed-term contract ending in March 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accounting professional to make an immediate impact by improving financial processes, strengthening reporting, and supporting key revenue streams across the organisation.
Working closely with the wider Finance team, you'll play a key role in enhancing month-end reporting, improving revenue and receivables processes, and ensuring the accurate recognition of commercial sponsorship, broadcast, grant funding, ticketing, and ICC revenues. Responsibilities
- Drive improvements to month-end processes, financial reporting, and the timely delivery of accurate financial information.
- Develop insightful reporting and analysis to support decision-making and enhance visibility of financial performance and cashflows.
- Support financial compliance activities, including GST and FBT obligations, while maintaining strong financial controls.
- Manage and enhance processes relating to commercial, broadcast, grant, ticketing, and ICC revenue streams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance team, supporting collaboration, best practice, and operational efficiency.
Experience and Skills
- Five or more years' accounting experience with a strong background in financial accounting and reporting.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent.
- Strong accounting acumen with the ability to identify financial risks, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with complex financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong professionalism, and the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
- High level of initiative to challenge the status quo and deliver financial improvements across the organization.
