An opportunity for a KFC Mini Cricket Co-ordinator has become available. The more important criteria for the appointment is set out below and although not exhaustive, would serve as a guideline in assessing a prospective candidate.
KEY JOB OBJECTIVE
Responsible for the coordination of the KFC Mini Cricket programme. The job holder is part of the Cricket Services Development programme and reports to the Cricket Services Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
The incumbent will be responsible for the following key delivery area:
- Effective execution of the Mini Cricket Programme
- Coordinating logistics and travel
- Data capturing and compiling reports
KEY DELIVERY AREA NO 1
To effectively execute a sustainable KFC Mini Cricket programme
- Successful implementation of Regional / Zonal administrative structures to assist in the coordination of the programme.
- Coordination of the Annual Provincial Festival and Seminars.
- Nominating delegates for the National Seminar; Monthly and Annual accolades.
- Compiling and delivery of activities on the Annual Planner for the programme – courses, refresher courses and forums, meetings, festivals and seminars.
- Assess and ensure that the standard of KFC Mini-Cricket are maintained in all regions.
- Maintaining sufficient level of stock by initiating and finalizing all clothing and playing equipment orders.
- Coordinate the distribution of clothing and playing equipment to the Regional structures.
- Perform administrative duties including drafting of fixtures and compiling logs.
- Liaise with sponsors / CSA and assist in the implementation of new strategies.
- Liaise with the KFC Local Store Managers in seeking support and effective rollout of the programmes at Provincial and Regional levels.
- Interaction and service all regions and external bodies.
- Appoint accredited coaches to present courses in the Regions.
- Oversee the morning coaching in schools.
- Provincial KFC Mini-Cricket coaching forums / “Coaching the Coaches”.
KEY DELIVERY AREA NO 2
Coordinate logistics and travel
- Co-ordinate Travel and Accommodation arrangements for the National Seminar
- Arrange venue for Provincial meetings.
- Monitor and Support Regions in executing the Annual Planner – mainly courses.
- Ensuring scheduled fixtures take place within adequate and safe surroundings.
KEY DELIVERY AREA NO 3
Data capturing and compiling of reports.
• Maintain the database of registered / participating schools, coaches, players and regional committee.
• Compile and submit monthly status reports on fixes, matches completed, new schools added, schools no longer participating, initiatives to drive good behaviour an sustainability of the programme. Monthly reports to be submitted by deadline.

Knowledge of Cricket

QUALIFICATIONS
- Matric/Grade 12 qualification
- Qualification in sport management will be advantageous
- Valid RSA Driver’s license
- CSA Level 1 Coaching qualification
- In-depth knowledge of the game
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 3 years working in a sport development area.
Computer Literacy and Reporting skills.
REPORTING TO:
Cricket Services Manager.
COMMENTS: This person should be prepared to travel extensively within the Northern Cape Province.
