NORTHERN CAPE CRICKET INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE ABOVE VACANCY.
KEY JOB OBJECTIVE
Responsible for, amongst other things as required by the employer, the effective execution of the Youth Cricket programme
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The incumbent will be responsible for the following key delivery area:
• Effective execution of the Youth Cricket Programme
• Effective management and support of the Provincial Age Group programme.
• Management of the Bursary Programme
• Support CSA player acceleration programmes
• Coordinating logistics and travel
• Data capturing and compiling reports
KEY DELIVERY AREA NO 1
Effective execution of the Youth Cricket programme
- To ensure that School Cricket body has a Constitution aligned to the CSA Affiliate /
Associate MOl and South African Schools Cricket (SASC) Constitution. - To ensure quality and availability of by-laws, playing conditions, fixtures, Code of ethics and Code of behaviour for Primary and High School.
- Ensure that AGMs of the School body takes place and that financial reports are made available to the Affiliate (if they are administering their own funds).
- Administered all aspects of Primary and High School league structures, including results, logs and general correspondence.
- Administer disciplinary hearings (recording and communicating outcome) as per the Affiliate / Associate disciplinary procedures and policies.
- Ensure Affiliate / Associate representation at SASC meetings.
- Apply for financial assistance and service approved Focused Schools.
KEY DELIVERY AREA NO 2
• Effective management and support of the Provincial Age Group programme.
• Ensuring that trials are conducted in an effective manor – selectors are appointed for the various age groups, schools have nominated players; trials dates are set and executed; and age group squads are selected.
• Suitably qualified coaches are appointed for the various representative age group teams in conjunction with Coaching Manager.
• Managers are appointed for the various representative teams.
• Ensure that a coaching programme is compiled and executed for each representative age group team in conjunction with the Coaching Manager and the appointed coaches.
• Ensure that each representative age group team has designated practice facility.
• Organize friendly matches for the representative age group teams
• Submit the representative age group teams’ information to CSA and the hosting Affiliate / Associate.
KEY DELIVERY AREA NO 3
Management of the Bursary Programme
- Nominate potential cricketers for Bursary opportunities.
- Compile and submit status reports on the Academic and Cricketing progress of the Bursary candidates.
- Effective support and management of Bursary candidates to ensure success.
KEY DELIVERY AREA NO 4
• Support CSA Player Acceleration Programmes (Provincial / Regional U17 and 19 Camps, CUBS)
• Nominate potential cricketers for camps.
• Support the appointed Regional Scout in ensuring the effective delivery and success of the CSA Player Acceleration Programme.
KEY DELIVERY AREA NO 5
Coordinate Logistics and Travel
- Ensure that the logistics and travel arrangements are done were required for the various programmes – representative age group teams; CSA Player Acceleration Programmes; SASC Meetings; etc.
- Assist CSA and SASC in coordinating the National Cricket weeks when hosted in your area of jurisdiction.
KEY DELIVERY AREA NO 6
Data capturing and compiling reports
- Maintain the database of registered / participating schools, contact information, coaches, players and regional committees – Emerging, Focused and Blue Chip schools.
- Compile and submit status reports on fixtures, matches completed, new schools added, schools no longer participating, initiatives to drive good behaviour and sustainability of the programme
- Update Schools section on the CSA Data Management System – loading of the representative age group teams; updating school’s information and number of participating teams.
- Compiling accurate data and information for the EPG report on programmes.

• Standard 10 / Grade 12 qualification

EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of 2 years working in a sport development area.
