NDCA is seeking expressions of interest for Board Director appointments.
The Association is responsible for leading, growing and supporting all forms of cricket within the Northern Districts region.
The Board is representative of our diverse region, which stretches across the top half of the North Island and serves communities with unique geographic and demographic requirements. We work closely with the six District Associations: Northland, Counties Manukau, Hamilton, Waikato Valley, Bay of Plenty and Poverty Bay.
There are five Director positions open on the NDCA Board – three incumbent Directors retire by rotation in November (each can seek re-appointment back onto the Board). An earlier resignation and a discontinued secondment provide further Director vacancies.
The Board provides governance and strategic direction for the organisation and supports the CEO to deliver outcomes which enhance cricket in the region.
NDCA aspires for cricket to be New Zealand’s favourite game whilst collaborating with our community to create a game for all, a game for life. NDCA’s values guide the organisation: Stronger Together, Build on our Foundation, and Play our Way.
We would like to hear from applicants who have one or more of the following:
- In-depth cricket knowledge and expertise is desirable.
- Financial and accounting background along with strong business experience and commercial acumen.
- Governance experience.
- Experience in community sport.
- Health & safety and risk management knowledge and experience.
NDCA is not for profit, and Board Directors are volunteers who are dedicated to seeing cricket as New Zealand’s favourite game.
