Are you passionate about cricket and ready to take the next step in your events career? We’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven Events Manager to join our team on a fixed term contract ending in March 2027, helping us deliver world-class cricket experiences across Aotearoa for the 26/27 season.
In this role, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of international cricket events, working alongside a wide range of stakeholders to ensure seamless execution from scheduling through to post-event review. Responsibilities
- Lead project planning and delivery of assigned international matches and events, including BLACKCAPS, WHITE FERNS, warm-up and A-Tour fixtures.
- Act as the primary relationship manager for assigned venues and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Major Associations, venues, councils, sponsors, partners and suppliers to deliver successful events.
- Support event operations and logistics to ensure delivery meets NZC standards and service expectations.
- Support additional events including season launches, sponsor activations, team appearances, corporate hospitality and the NZC Awards.
Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in event management, ideally within sport or large-scale event.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel and spend time away from home during the cricket season.
- A passion for sport and delivering outstanding event experiences.
