We strive to have a high performance culture, underpinned by quality people, systems and facilities helping to produce great players and teams that inspire the nation, the next generation of players and represent the best of New Zealand’s values and culture.

We're looking for an experienced coach to join our High Performance team on a permanent, full-time basis, based in Lincoln or the North Island. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of New Zealand cricket and help develop the next generation of elite players.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, selection and delivery of NZC High Performance programmes, including NZA, U19 and other national talent initiatives.
  • Collaborate with selectors, specialist coaches, Major Associations and performance staff to support player progression and succession planning.
  • Contribute to talent identification, scouting, selection and player pathway activities across the New Zealand cricket system.
  • Support the development of high performance coaches through mentoring, education, observation and coaching leadership.

Experience and Skills

  • NZC Level 3 Cricket Coaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working within a national, regional or high performance sporting environment.
  • Strong technical and tactical batting expertise, with the ability to support athlete development at an elite level.
  • Experience delivering player pathway programmes and supporting talent identification and succession planning.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across a wide range of stakeholders.

Why you’ll love working with us

  • The opportunity to directly influence the future of New Zealand cricket and develop the next generation of elite players.
  • Flexible working options that fit around life.
  • Ticket allocation to attend international and domestic cricket matches.
  • A range of benefits and exclusive offers through our commercial partners.
  • Work alongside passionate people committed to excellence, innovation and the spirit of cricket.
