The Opportunity
We’re on the lookout for a Junior Digital Content Creator to join our Digital Content team for the 2025/26 New Zealand Summer of Cricket (October to April). This fixed-term role is perfect for someone early in their career or finishing up their studies, looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, creative environment.
You’ll help bring our summer of cricket to life across NZC’s digital platforms – with a special focus on TikTok, domestic cricket, and the Dream11 Super Smash. You’ll be part of a passionate team, creating and sharing engaging content that connects fans to the game.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and curating content across NZC’s digital platforms, ensuring it reflects our values and vision.
- Leading the TikTok content strategy and managing the NZC TikTok account.
- Creating and publishing original content, especially around domestic competitions and the Dream11 Super Smash (December–February).
- Collaborating with NZC’s Communications and Content team, as well as our contracted creatives, to produce high-quality digital assets.
- Publishing content from internal and external sources in line with NZC’s content plans.
- Working with stakeholders and partners to design and deliver content strategies.
- Supporting the wider cricket network, including Major Associations, District Associations, and Clubs.
You’ll bring:
- Experience creating short-form content for social media, especially TikTok.
- A solid understanding of social media platforms and current trends.
- Skills in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro or similar) and graphic design (Photoshop/Illustrator or similar).
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy in editing and publishing content.
- Enthusiasm for cricket and sport, and a collaborative mindset.
This role may involve working outside regular hours, especially during match days – but it’s a fantastic chance to grow your skills, build your portfolio, and be part of something special.
