About the role
The Seasonal Participation Activator plays an important role in helping more people discover, enjoy and stay connected to cricket across Otago and Southland. We're looking for enthusiastic people who can excite, engage and inspire participants through fun, inclusive and memorable cricket experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging programmes, activations, festivals and events that encourage Tamariki and rangatahi to participate and stay involved
- Support inclusive initiatives, events and pathways that increase participation opportunities for women and girls
- Support recruitment and development of junior coaches and volunteers and promote positive coaching environments
- Build relationships with schools, clubs and communities and deliver fun cricket experiences
- Collect participation data and comply with safeguarding and health and safety requirements

- Enjoy engaging with children, young people and communities
- Are confident communicators and relationship builders
- Want to make a positive impact through sport
- Sport-related qualification (desirable)
- Coaching and/or Coach Development qualification (desirable)
- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Full NZ Driver Licence (preferred)
