Responsible for research and counselling skills. The incumbent doctors are expected to have excellent anatomy, exercise physiology and decision-making skills, and must display sound judgment. The individuals are also responsible for complete rehabilitation of an injured athlete through accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.

Pakistan Cricket Board is engaged in promoting and developing the game of cricket in Pakistan and maintaining general control of the game.
Qualifications & Requirements

- MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) from a recognized medical university.

- Preference for Fellowship in Internal Medicine/ Critical Care.

- Full current PMDC registration.
Skills & Competencies
-
- Clinical assessment and management of acute and chronic medical conditions in athletes.

- On-field emergency care, first aid, and basic life support.

- Musculoskeletal examination and sports injury evaluation.

- Player health monitoring, medical documentation, and fitness reporting.
- Effective teamwork with physiotherapists, coaches, and medical staff Athlete-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procedures for dealing with emergency injury situations.
- Conduct research into prevention and treatment of injuries or medical conditions.
- Develop and prescribe exercise programs to condition rehabilitated athletes.
- Provide diagnoses and treatment of sports or activity-related injury.
- Provide athletes with education and counselling related to their injury.
- Implement mental strategies that enable athletes to cope with and overcome setbacks or injuries.
- Record all medical care information and maintain medical records.
- Evaluate athletes prior to participation in tournaments/series to determine predisposition to injury.
- Coordinate sports care activates with other medical experts.
- Inform and counsel coaches and trainers on the medical condition of athletes.
- Supervise rehabilitation process.
- Tailor strategies that assist athletes in overcoming difficulties, improving performance and preparing for competition.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team including other psychologists, nutritionists, GPs, coaches and physiologists.
