The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is seeking qualified and dedicated Physiotherapists to join its Women’s Cricket and Under-19 Cricket programs. The selected individuals will work closely with the Medical Staff, Coaching Staff, and other PCB Physiotherapists as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on enhancing player performance, ensuring player well-being, and preventing and managing injuries among domestic cricket players.
About Pakistan Cricket Board
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is responsible for promoting and developing the game of cricket in Pakistan and maintaining overall control and governance of the sport across the country.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized/accredited university in Physiotherapy or a relevant field (Master’s degree will be preferred).
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant professional experience in clinical and sports physiotherapy, preferably within a cricket or professional sports environment.
- Demonstrated experience in injury prevention, injury diagnosis, and evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Medical & Sports Sciences Team to maximize player availability through the development and implementation of injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of players’ treatments and progress.
- Assess, examine, and diagnose injuries and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Ensure comprehensive, confidential, and secure documentation of all medical and rehabilitation interventions.
- Monitor players’ recovery and progress, adjusting treatment programs as required.
- Provide regular reports and relevant updates to the Departmental Head and other stakeholders as required.
Competency Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent management capabilities.
- Proven ability to work effectively with athletes and sports professionals from diverse backgrounds.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and interpersonal effectiveness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related computer applications.
