Contract Physiotherapist – Female Pathway Program

Queensland Cricket | Brisbane-based | Contract role

Help shape the future of women’s cricket in Queensland.

If you’re a passionate physiotherapist who thrives in a sporting environment and wants to make a genuine impact on the next generation of female athletes, this is your chance to be part of something special.

Queensland Cricket is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to support our Female Pathway Program, working closely with talented young players (U16–U19) as they progress through critical stages of their development.

You’ll play a hands-on role in injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation, helping our players stay healthy, confident, and ready to perform. You’ll also be part of a supportive, high-calibre multidisciplinary team that genuinely cares about our people and the athlete experience.

About the Role

  • Provide physiotherapy coverage and player care at games, training sessions, and tournaments
  • Lead injury assessments and design individualised prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation programs
  • Offer timely advice, triage, and referral to medical practitioners as required
  • Collaborate closely with coaches, team staff, and performance professionals to enhance player wellbeing and readiness
  • Contribute to an environment that supports learning, growth, and player confidence both on and off the field

About you

  • Current AHPRA registration and relevant physiotherapy qualification
  • Solid clinical experience, ideally within a sporting or high-performance environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with players, coaches, and staff
  • A caring and professional approach, with a passion for supporting young athletes
  • Critical thinking, adaptability, and sound time management
  • Energised by being part of a close-knit, collaborative team and open to travel during tournaments or competition periods
  • Enjoys the travel and tournament environment, bringing energy and calm under pressure

Why join us

You’ll be part of a values-driven organisation that celebrates connection, growth, and care.
This opportunity offers variety, exposure to tournament environments, and the chance to travel and experience the excitement of high-performance sport while shaping the player journey for Queensland’s future stars.

If you’re ready to combine your clinical expertise with your love for sport, people, and purpose, we’d love to hear from you.

This role will be part of our Elite Cricket Portfolio. Applications close 20th October 2025.
