Cricket Manager – Wide Bay

Queensland Cricket is looking for a Cricket Manager to support grassroots coaches, clubs, and schools across the Wide Bay region. This role is hands-on, community-based, and focused on helping junior cricket thrive in regional Queensland.

About the Role
Your focus will be on promoting the growth and sustainability of cricket within clubs, competitions and schools across the Wide Bay region, with a strong focus on female cricket. You will do this by developing and maintaining a community network that is excited about driving participation across all levels of the Australian cricket pathway as well as driving new offerings to new players.
The role will require you to develop and inspire a network of volunteers and casual employees, who will support cricket within the region.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building strong, trusted relationships with local clubs, associations, and schools
- Supporting volunteer coaches with practical advice, resources, and mentoring
- Helping clubs create inclusive, safe, and engaging training environments
- Planning and delivering cricket programs
- Deliver high quality Cricket Blast programs to maximise the enjoyment of each participant, with the end goal of retaining them into club cricket
- Assisting with junior cricket formats and participation initiatives
- Support the promotion of cricket within the region via internal and external communication channels
