About the role
SACA is looking for an experienced Cricket Officer - Metro to join our Community Cricket team. The Cricket Office – Metro will play a key role in growing participation along with driving the delivery of entry level programs and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. This role will also involve significant responsibilities in promoting cricket, supporting affiliated club/association volunteer stakeholders, whilst connecting schools and clubs in the region to help progress children through Cricket Australia’s national junior pathway.
Key responsibilities:
· Deliver on key region KPI’s aimed at growing the game by being proactive in identifying new opportunities for growth.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at schools and clubs.
· Support clubs and associations through the requirements of the Club Support Program, including annual Affiliation process and Child Safety Audits.
· Support clubs with organising and promoting entry-level club programs.
· Deliver club consultation process, ensuring clubs feel supported and empowered to set achievable outcome-based goals, whilst maintaining alignment to SACA’s Strategy.
· Ensure all programs are delivered to the highest quality, aspiring to achieve exceptional experiences for all.
· Organise, promote and (where applicable) deliver Adelaide Strikers Holiday Programs and Woolworths Cricket Blast within selected region.
· Organise, promote and (where applicable) deliver the School Visit Program within selected region.
· Organise and confirm with manager of intended travel plans outlined in the strategic planning phase during the off-season in respect to your designated region (where applicable).
· Support the Competition Experience function in coordinating SACA’s Primary School Cricket Competition (where applicable).
· Utilise funding from Cricket Australia to organise and promote entry-level programs so participants have a clear pathway to a cricket club.
· Ensure all current and local data including key contact information and communication history is accurately recorded in the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM).
· Connect staff from the Participation Growth function to stakeholders as required, to ensure collaboration and assist with identifying new program opportunities.
· Collaborate with staff from the Participation Growth function to acquire and respond to stakeholder feedback from participation programs, utilising registration and feedback tracking tools as required.
· In conjunction with the Community Cricket Coaching Specialist and the Competitions Experience function, develop and execute region-specific plans that drive coach engagement and development opportunities.
· In conjunction with the Women & Girls Engagement Leader to influence and support community associations and clubs to establish and sustainably grow and retain junior girls' competitions and teams.
· Work in conjunction with the Diversity & Inclusion Officer to develop and execute region-specific plans that drive engagement and grow participation within the identified communities.
· Maintain a close working relationship with Facilities & Infrastructure Team to coordinate ACIF, “Places to Play”, and other relevant grant opportunities for clubs, schools, and councils.
· Work with Cricket Australia (CA) to ensure best practices are implemented across South Australia and opportunities to upskill are being utilised.
· Undertake a range of tasks as required by the Community Cricket Management Team, ensuring these tasks relate directly to our strategic business pillars from Cricket Australia and SACA.
· You will hold a valid Working with Children Check or have the ability to obtain one.

· Relevant experience and/or understanding of community sport and relevant stakeholder groups including volunteers, coaches, clubs and associations

· A capacity to achieve outlined KPI’s needed to maximise overall department performance
· The ability to motivate both casual cricket officers and volunteers involved in delivering the game of cricket
· Capacity to manage within overall agreed financial parameters
· Experience in using and maintaining databases or CRM software
· An understanding and appreciation of the game of cricket both in terms of avenues for growing participation and creating exceptional experiences associated with the game
· Valid South Australian Driver’s license
About SACA
The SACA is one of the nation’s premier sporting bodies, with a vision for cricket to be Australia’s favorite sport – a sport for all Australian’s.
