About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our high‑performing Finance Team. This role is central to strengthening SACA’s financial performance through high‑quality analysis, strategic insights and trusted partnerships with leaders across the organisation.
You’ll play a key role in supporting programs, events, competitions and community initiatives that make cricket accessible and meaningful across South Australia — ensuring our financial decisions align with our purpose and future aspirations.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver accurate, timely and insightful monthly financial and match reporting.
- Produce high‑quality forecasts in collaboration with internal stakeholders, clearly outlining risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate quarterly financial performance discussions to build capability and improve organisational financial literacy.
- Develop and maintain practical financial guidance for non‑financial staff.
- Support the development of annual and long‑term budgets aligned to SACA’s strategy and financial sustainability goals.
- Assist with analytical tools such as product profitability modelling, match day reporting and cost‑driver analysis.
- Contribute to improvements in budgeting and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and insight.
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of Workday Adaptive Planning, ensuring smooth, user‑friendly planning and reporting.
- Conduct financial assessments of commercial opportunities and provide ad‑hoc analysis as required.
- Work collaboratively across the Finance Team to support a high‑performing, adaptable function
- Contribute to a collaborative, values‑led Finance Team, modelling “Be Kind, Be Brave and Do Great Things Together.”
- You will hold a valid Working with Children Check or have the ability to obtain one.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (CPA or CA qualified applicants, not mandatory but will be highly favoured)
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a financial analysis, management accounting or business partnering role, with demonstrated impact on organisational performance.
- Experience delivering high‑quality financial analysis and presenting insights to diverse stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that drive performance.
- Ability to build trusted relationships across the business, partnering effectively with leaders and teams to uplift financial acumen and support strategic decision‑making.
- Sound understanding of financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and evaluating financial viability to inform business strategy.
- Sound working knowledge of accounting standards and financial governance requirements, ensuring accuracy, compliance and integrity in all financial outputs.
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail, paired with natural curiosity to understand business drivers and uncover the story behind financial results.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality work within tight time frames, maintaining accuracy under pressure.
- High levels of integrity, authenticity and professionalism, with a strong service orientation and commitment to supporting organisational outcomes.
- A collaborative, adaptable and positive approach, contributing effectively within a small team environment and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Advanced skills in financial systems, spreadsheet modelling and presentation tools, with the ability to develop clear, compelling reports and insights.
- Experience working with budgeting and reporting systems (Workday Adaptive Planning highly regarded, but not essential).
