Sri Lanka Cricket invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Conditioning Trainer for Super Province.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement strength and conditioning programmes tailored to team and player requirements
- Monitor player fitness levels and ensure structured conditioning plans are followed
- Conduct fitness assessments, testing, and performance evaluations
- Work closely with coaches, medical staff, and performance analysts to optimise player readiness
- Manage injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation support in coordination with medical teams
- Maintain accurate fitness records and performance data
- Provide ongoing feedback and reporting on player physical development
- Support match preparation through targeted conditioning plans
Key Position Requirements
- Degree or professional qualification in Sports Science, Exercise Science, Physical Education, or related field
- Professional certification in strength and conditioning will be an added advantage
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in elite sport or high-performance cricket environments
- Strong knowledge of strength training, conditioning principles, and injury prevention
- Ability to design and deliver structured fitness programmes for elite athletes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple squads/levels
- Experience working with multidisciplinary high-performance teams
- Basic IT knowledge and proficiency in MS Office packages
