Sri Lanka Cricket invites applications from highly qualified and motivated professionals for the position of Head Coach of the National Women’s Cricket Team. This prestigious role carries the responsibility of leading the women’s cricket program, shaping its strategic direction, and contributing to its long-term success on the international stage.

Main Job Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of high-performance training programs for the National Women’s Team

• Prepare the team for all international competitions, bilateral series, and ICC events

• Identify, nurture, and develop top talent to build a strong and competitive national squad

• Work closely with the selection committee, support staff, and high-performance units to ensure optimal athlete development and team performance

• Foster a culture of professionalism, discipline, unity, and continuous improvement within the team

• Utilize data-driven insights and modern coaching methodologies to enhance individual and team performance

• Demonstrate leadership under pressure, maintaining composure and setting the highest standards of conduct and integrity

• Contribute to long-term strategic planning for the development and success of the National Women’s Team program

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant coaching certifications (Level 3 or above)

•Extensive coaching experience at elite, high-performance, or international level • Proven track record in developing and leading elite senior cricket teams

• Preferably, the applicant should be currently engaged in active coaching

• Strong technical, tactical, and analytical knowledge of the modern game

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills

• High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and the ability to inspire confidence and motivation in athletes

• Exceptional work ethic and commitment to excellence

In addition to working within the team environment, the Head Coach of the Women’s National Team should be prepared to work independently and during irregular hours.
