St Andrew’s College and St Andrew’s Prep invite applications for the full-time permanent role of Director of Sport: College and Prep Campuses. This role is a senior strategic leadership position responsible for shaping, elevating and unifying the sporting vision across both College and Prep campuses.
We seek an inspiring, highly organised and visionary sports leader who will foster excellence, drive participation, strengthen performance pathways and position our combined campuses among the leading independent school sporting environments in South Africa.
The Director of Sport will lead the full sporting portfolio across College and Prep, including strategic planning, operational management, facilities, coaching capacity, sports culture, events, tours, support services and community engagement. They will lead strategically and manage the staff associated with the sports department (Sports Operations Manager, Teachers in Charge of Sporting Codes, etc.).
This is a fulltime strategic and administrative leadership appointment, with responsibilities extending across term time and school holidays.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LEADER WHO:
• Holds a relevant tertiary qualification (Sport Science, Sports Management, Education or related field) with 8–10 years’ progressive experience in school or professional sport leadership.
• Is energetic, strategic, and deeply committed to excellence.
• Is a strong communicator with a proven track record in sports leadership.
• Is confident in managing multiple codes, people, programmes, and systems.
• Is able to inspire teams, motivate boys, and build a proud sporting identity.
• Is highly respected within provincial or national sporting circles.
