About Our Club
Established as one of the top cricket clubs in the UK, SCC has a strong history of developing professional cricketers. Our six senior men’s teams play in the Surrey Cricket Championship and 2026 sees our first season for our women playing competitive cricket.
Our newly refurbished clubhouse is a hub for social events, with plans in place and funding secured for new women’s changing facilities in 2026. Our cricket facilities are among the best in the region with two squares at our home ground and a six lane net facility.
Our junior section has gone from strength to strength, including a growing and thriving girls section with teams from U9 to U15.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to lead, inspire, and elevate our women’s cricket programme across all levels. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our fast growing women’s section from grassroots though a proactive pathway to elite performance.
We are looking for someone who can deliver high-quality, engaging training sessions, recruit and develop talented players, and promote SCC Women’s and Girls section across our local schools and the wider community. Ideally, the successful candidate will also play and captain our Women’s 1st XI.
Key Responsibilities
● Deliver and oversee high-quality training programmes for our women’s section.
● Lead the women’s cricket strategy, developing the junior player pathway into senior cricket.
● Recruit and retain players across all levels of women’s cricket.
● Develop women’s and girl’s cricket as a core pillar of the club.
● Manage, mentor, and support our four women’s team captains, coaches and volunteers.
● Ideally play and captain the Women1st XI and contribute on and off the field.
About You
We are looking for a passionate leader with:
● ECB Core Coach (Level 2) or Level 1 with ambition to achieve Level 2.
● Experience playing credentials.
● A proven record of leading group and individual coaching in club/school environments.
● Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills.
● A passion for developing cricketers of all ages and abilities.
● Ability to identify talent and build pathways into senior cricket.
