Interested coaches with the required qualifications and experience are invited to apply for the Garden Route Badgers Youth Team Head Coaching positions that are currently vacant:
SWD BOYS U16 HEAD COACH
SWD GIRLS U16 HEAD COACH
To promote the career path development of coaches within the company these positions are reserved for coaches within the SWD Cricket coaching structures. Appointments will be made at the panel’s discretion, following an interview process and will be for one period over one years (July 2026 – December 2026).
Applicants to meet the following requirements:
• Be an accredited (post 2005) Level III CSA Coach.
• Be currently coaching a squad or team in the SWD region.
• Be an active member of the SWD Coach Development Programs, attending forums and sessions where applicable
• Have a sound knowledge of High-Performance Coaching Principles
• Valid Code B Driver’s Licence
Coaches’ duties and responsibilities will be to:
• Garden Route Badgers Cricket Head Coaches, with the development and training of the respective squads in preparation for the National Weeks during the month of December.
• Attend all squad and specialist training sessions
• Travel with the respective teams to the National Weeks.
• Prepare reports on players, squads and matches if required.
• Attend relevant coach development sessions.
Salary package will be negotiated.
The above mentioned positions are ideally suited to a strong team player who is deadline driven, self-motivated and puts the development of players as top priority.
Being a good communicator with the ability to confidently interact across all levels of stakeholder engagement is a necessity. The individual must be able to embrace operating in an environment that demands new and transformed thinking to develop strategies on par with the cricketing landscape.
