An opportunity for a Head Coach for the Fidelity Titans Women’s team has become available. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that the Fidelity Titans Women team is a winning team and create a high-performance environment in order to drive the winning culture of Titans Cricket. The more important criteria for the appointment is set out below and although not exhaustive, would serve as a guideline in assessing a prospective candidate.
KEY JOB OBJECTIVE
The role of the Head Coach will be to lead the Fidelity Titans Women’s team to success and the candidate will be responsible, amongst other things, for the preparation, management and work closely with the existing coaching structures.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Key performance areas include but are not limited to the following:
Set and lead delivery of the Fidelity Titans women’s cricket vision and plans.
- Responsible for the professional team programme with the intent to optimise performance and the development of all identified cricketers.
- Plan and implement a program that facilitates excellence in team and individual preparation and performance for the professional team.
- Arrange practice schedules and pre-season programmes.
- Work with and assist the Girls & Women’s development programmes.
- Identify new talent, optimise player development and make recommendations to enhance the senior cricket system.
- Demonstrate exemplary leadership behaviour through personal development, commitment and dedication supporting organisational values.
- Ensure that support systems and structures for the cricketers are enhanced to sustain adequate performance standards.
- Perform other reasonable duties as required by Titans Cricket, including ad hoc project involvement.
- Accountable for producing an ongoing pipeline of cricket players for Titans Cricket
KEY JOB QUALIFICATIONS
The following job qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills are essential requirements:
- A Level 3 Cricket Coaching Certificate or equivalent qualification;
Experience in having played first class cricket will be an advantage; - Experience in the use of data and video analysis systems will be an advantage;
- Good mentoring and motivational skills;
- Developed knowledge in talent identification;
- Ability to work with players from different backgrounds across cultural identities.
- A comprehensive working knowledge of current cricket coaching techniques.
5-10 years of cricket coaching experience as a Head Coach at the Provincial /professional level would be a strong consideration.
