The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced coach to lead the Hampshire Hawks Academies and State Jets programme, developing talented young cricketers across Hampshire and supporting the wider Boys Pathway. This role combines coaching, programme management, and talent identification in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Hampshire Hawks Academies (Southampton, Basingstoke, Portsmouth, and future North Hampshire site)
  • Head coach for the Hawks Academies and State Jets programme
  • Plan, deliver, and oversee year-round cricket programmes and match schedules
  • Manage and support casual coaches, ensuring high-quality coaching standards
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, schools, and stakeholders
  • Identify and nurture talent across state schools, Wicketz, and Street programmes
  • Monitor and document player progress using Spond
  • Contribute to Regional Performance Centre coaching and player identification as required

HoursCore hours are 30 per week, predominantly afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with flexibility required at certain times of the year.

LocationUtilita Bowl, Botley Road, West End, Southampton, SO30 3XH, with travel to local academy and school venues across Hampshire.
