We’re looking for a dynamic and commercially minded Head of Food & Beverage to shape and deliver exceptional culinary experiences at the iconic WACA Ground.

As the leader of all food and beverage operations, you’ll bring energy, direction and creativity to our café, retail, and functions and events business. You’ll balance strong commercial performance with a passion for great food and hospitality, playing a key role in delivering exceptional experiences that truly bring the venue to life.

You’ll do this as a visible leader at the heart of a passionate F&B team and a high energy environment. Working closely with your people and stakeholders, you’ll empower teams to deliver standout experiences across every service stream. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys leading from the front, and values collaboration, ownership and shared success as part of everyday work.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Champion standout food and beverage experiences across café, retail, functions, events and match days, bringing energy, consistency and a strong service culture to every touchpoint.
  • Lead the continued growth of Wirin, the WACA Ground’s own café, as a vibrant standalone destination and a welcoming hub for the local community.
  • Elevate the WACA Ground as a sought-after destination for conferences and events by creatively blending its rich heritage with a modern hospitality offering.
  • Shape and deliver the F&B Business Plan, taking ownership of revenue growth, budgets and commercial performance.
  • Inspire, develop and lead a passionate F&B team, building capability, engagement and a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Drive strong financial results through innovative revenue growth strategies, smart cost control and effective supplier partnerships.
  • Lead seamless match‑day and retail operations, optimising product offerings, staffing and customer flow in high energy environments.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver memorable experiences and mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Set the standard for safety and compliance, providing confident leadership in food safety, WHS and liquor licensing across all operations.

A great fit for this role looks like

  • Accredited WA Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
  • Accredited Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Proven senior leadership experience in food & beverage management within hospitality, hotel, events, venues, or sporting environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrated success in revenue growth, budget ownership, cost control, and margin performance.
  • Experience developing and delivering food and beverage strategy across multiple outlets, including retail, functions and events.
  • Proven capability in pricing strategy, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with experience leading, developing, and performance managing teams in fast‑paced environments.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety, WHS, licensing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strategic, adaptable, and customer‑focused, with the ability to balance operational delivery and long‑term sustainability.
