Are you passionate about growing the women’s game and unlocking high performance potential? WA Cricket is seeking an enthusiastic leader to identify, develop and prepare talented female players within our high performance pathway programs, supporting their readiness to perform in national competitions and beyond.
This role plays a central part in delivering an aligned and integrated talent identification and development system, working closely across underpinning programs, talent pathways and Premier Cricket Clubs to ensure clear, connected and consistent player progression throughout the WA cricket ecosystem.
You’ll also provide regular, specialised coaching support to the Senior Women’s program, while contributing to the systematic development of coaches within Premier Cricket and pathway environments, helping build capability, consistency and excellence across all levels of the women’s game.
How you’ll make an impact
- Coach, develop and manage talented female players to prepare them for underage State selection and progression through the WA Cricket pathway
- Deliver regular, specialised coaching support to the Senior Women’s program
- Lead and manage underpinning High Performance and Underage State Team programs for national competition preparation
- Align culture, standards and style of play across development programs with the WA Women’s Team
- Coordinate support staff and specialist coaches across programs and teams
- Develop, implement and monitor individual development plans using athlete management systems and performance data
- Support athlete wellbeing and player management in collaboration with High Performance and Player Development staff
- Identify and track emerging talent through Premier Cricket, maintaining depth charts and player databases
- Build strong relationships with Premier Clubs, schools and coaches to enhance talent systems and player development practices
- Contribute to coach development, transparent selection processes, and State Team selection panels and reporting
A great fit for this role looks like
- Minimum Representative Cricket Australia Coaching Accreditation (or equivalent internationally recognised certification).
- Experience working with athletes either within an educational or sporting environment.
- Demonstrated cricket coaching experience at minimum Premier Cricket level or equivalent.
- Experience in athlete talent identification and development processes.
- Experience in managing stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Open to adopting new technology.
- A collaborative working style.
- High Performance Cricket Coach Accreditation (desirable).
- Cricket coaching experience at State/National level (desirable).
