Got big ideas, and a love for content that actually lands? This one’s for you.
We’re on the hunt for a Social Media Specialist who lives and breathes platforms, trends and storytelling. If you know what’s ahead of trends before they blow up everyone’s feed, can juggle memes with metrics, and thrive in real-time moments?
What you’ll be doing
- Planning, scheduling and publishing platform first content that stops the scroll
- Owning the day-to-day social calendar, aligned to campaigns, fixtures, events and priorities
- Leading real-time coverage of matches, events and activations, live posts, short form video, stories, the lot
- Partnering with the Content Coordinator to brief, prioritise and deliver a steady stream of video and visuals
- Actively engaging with our communities, moderating, replying and building positive fan vibes
- Tracking performance, pulling insights and using data to optimise reach, engagement and growth
- Collaborating with Marketing, Comms and Commercial teams on integrated campaigns and partner content
- Staying ahead of platform trends, tools and best practice
- Supporting executive and corporate channels, including CEO communications when needed
- Helping drive long-term digital growth that builds audience, brand and revenue
What you’ll bring to the table:
- A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media (or equivalent hands-on experience — we value doing as much as degrees)
- Proven experience running social channels for a brand, organisation or sporting team
- Serious content chops, copywriting, photography, short-form video and basic editing are all in your wheelhouse
- A deep, up-to-date understanding of major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X) plus an eye on what’s coming next
- Confidence analysing social performance data, turning insights into smarter, stronger content
- Strong planning, organisation and time-management skills, you can juggle deadlines without dropping the ball
- Comfort working in fast-paced, live environments, including evenings and weekends during matches and events
- Clear, confident communication and stakeholder skills, you know how to work with lots of people and keep things moving
- A genuine passion for sport, fans and digital storytelling (cricket knowledge is a big plus)
