Are you passionate about community sport and love bringing structure, organisation, and people together? WA Cricket is looking for a motivated and detail oriented Systems & Competitions Officer to help support and deliver thriving metropolitan cricket competitions.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a meaningful role behind the scenes, helping competitions run seamlessly while creating positive experiences for players, clubs, officials, and volunteers across the community.

This is a fixed term role until 30 June 30 2027.

How you’ll make an impact

In this dynamic and people-focused role, you will:

  • Deliver end-to-end competition administration across community cricket competitions, including player registrations, compliance requirements, dispensations, fixturing, and results—ensuring competitions are accurate, fair, and well-managed.
  • Be a trusted point of contact for clubs, associations, officials, and volunteers—providing timely support, guidance, and solutions to competition-related enquiries.
  • Communicate key competition policies, updates, and timelines clearly and confidently, helping stakeholders stay informed and engaged.
  • Build strong relationships across the cricket community, contributing to a collaborative and positive competition environment.
  • Attend and actively contribute to planning days, board meetings, and community cricket events—bringing energy, ideas, and a team-first mindset.
  • Support and deliver strategic projects aligned with WA Cricket and Australian Cricket systems and competitions, helping shape the future of the game.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance systems, streamline processes, and elevate the participant experience.

A great fit for this role looks like

  • Demonstrated experience in networking and stakeholder engagement
  • High level organisational skills to manage the logistics associated with the planning and delivery of Community Cricket Competitions
  • Understanding and ability to apply participation, inclusion and diversity principles in all areas of operation.
  • Experience in utilisation of Microsoft office, word and excel and other data entry and management systems
  • Ability to analyse data and produce insights through reporting
  • Highly developed written skills to produce high quality written plans and reports.
  • Well developed written communication skills to manage high volume email requests in line with policy guidelines
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills to be able to liaise, engage and manage stakeholder relationships at all levels, both internal and external
  • Experience with PlayHQ Competition Management System (desirable)
