About the Role

The Chair of the Board plays a pivotal role in guiding Warwickshire Cricket through a period of growth, transformation, and opportunity. From championing men’s and women’s cricket to overseeing the next phase of Edgbaston Stadium’s development, the Chair will help shape the future of our Club on and off the field.

You will lead a committed and diverse Board, ensuring strong governance, strategic clarity, and a culture that reflects our core values of Passion, Respect, Innovation, Diversity, and Excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the Board and key committees, including Cricket and Nominations
  • Oversee strategy, performance, governance, and organisational culture
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and values-driven leadership
  • Represent the Club locally, nationally, and internationally
  • Support and mentor the CEO and senior leaders

  • Proven experience chairing boards or committees in complex, high-profile environments
  • Sharp strategic thinking and governance expertise
  • Inclusive leadership, excellent communication, and strong stakeholder management
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across a multi-stakeholder landscape

Location:
Edgbaston Stadium

Time Commitment:
2 to 3 days per month

Remuneration:
Voluntary (reasonable expenses provided; attendance at Club and international matches included)Permanent, full-time

Term:
Three years, renewable once (maximum six years)

Eligibility:
Directors must be under age 70
