WCA is the world players’ body in cricket. Established (as FICA) in 1998, WCA is a democratic player-driven organisation that brings together the world’s ‘organised’ professional cricketers under an international body which focuses on matters that affect the players collectively, and the global game.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Communications and Administration Coordinator to join the team at the World Cricketers’ Association.

Based in Adelaide, this is a new role, working closely with and supporting the WCA team, WCA member players’ associations, and players around the world, to strengthen and grow the players’ global voice by providing hands-on, practical, and cross-functional administrative support to the team across of communications, media and operations.

You’re proactive, organised, and always one step ahead—whether that’s scheduling social media, coordinating player hub updates, reshuffling a calendar, or arranging travel logistics.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drive and generate the creation and publishing of strategic communications content aligned with strategy; writing clear, engaging copy for various mediums
  • Develop content and regularly update Player Hub
  • Development of stakeholder presentations including design support
  • Work with WCA partners (Winners Alliance, Member PA’s, World PA) on joint strategic communication initiatives
  • Manage the social media accounts for WCA including content planning, creation, commenting and scheduling
  • Lead the content and management for website and social media account, managing relationships with external service providers
  • Lead content development for Leagues Hub, T20 Player Index, advocacy and campaigning materials
  • Support the drafting and development of reports, both internal and external
  • Support and drive media outreach and other branding initiatives
  • Provide administrative support for events and in person meetings through planning, logistics and coordination support
  • Providing administrative support to the broader team, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness of tasks

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • An appreciation of the game of cricket or passion for sports in general
  • Proven capability in planning, coordinating and delivering communication and stakeholder engagement campaigns (including writing, creating, and producing content) for internal and external audiences
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, their respective participants and deployment
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • High standard of verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a global team environment, working at pace, with multiple stakeholders, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proactive problem solving with the ability to show judgement considering broad perspectives
  • Open minded, flexible, and adaptable in outlook and approach
  • Ability to engage and influence people to build positive and mutually beneficial relationships
  • Ability to think big and small navigating between large strategic initiatives and daily operational requirements
