Western Province Professional Cricket (Pty) Ltd (“WPPC”) with its headquarters situated at Newlands Cricket Ground and subscribes to the principles of the Employment Equity Act hereby invites an ambitious physiotherapist to apply for this vacancy.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The successful candidate will act as the physiotherapist of the Western Province Cricket Professional Men’s team and be responsible for the treatment and rehabilitation of injured contracted and non-contracted players. The team Physiotherapist will deliver all those responsibilities and protocols as set out in this Job Profile as well as the Provincial Player Injuries, Workload and Conditioning Policy.
The role reports to the Western Province Professional Men’s Team Head Coach.
This role is offered as a professional services appointment for a period of two (2) years and does not constitute a permanent employment position.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Suitable qualification preferably with a post-graduate qualification in sports physiotherapy.
• Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) registration
• South African Society of Physiotherapist (SASP) membership
• Professional indemnity / malpractice insurance
• Continuous Professional Development (CPD) compliance via the HPCSA CPD portal.
• Appropriate clinical experience, preferably having worked with professional athletes.
• Having worked in a cricket environment would be advantageous.
REMUNERATION
The remuneration package for this position will be negotiated with the successful application.
