The Blaze all-rounder dominates domestic cricket with record-breaking season across all formats
Kathryn Bryce has been named the PCA Women’s Domestic Overall MVP for the second straight year, also picking up the Metro Bank One Day Cup Women’s Player of the Year title after a sensational all-round season for The Blaze.
The Scottish international scored 1,144 runs and took 44 wickets across the Vitality Blast, The Hundred and Metro Bank One Day Cup, earning a staggering 482.52 MVP points in the PCA’s Most Valuable Player Rankings, powered by OFX.
Her performance breakdown included:
- Metro Bank One Day Cup: 226.13 points
- Vitality Blast: 193.27 points
- The Hundred: 63.13 points
This total surpassed her 2024 MVP tally by 88.16 points, underlining her continued growth and consistency as one of domestic cricket’s top all-rounders.
All-round brilliance across all formats
Bryce claimed six Match MVP awards throughout the season—three in the One Day Cup, two in The Hundred, and one in the Vitality Blast.
In the 50-over format, she finished as the second-leading run-scorer with 632 runs at an average of 48.61, alongside 18 wickets at 28.16 with a tight economy of 4.50.
Her MVP highlights included:
- 124 vs Lancashire in the Metro Bank semi-final (34.10 points)
- 5-38 vs Warwickshire (20.85 points)
- 61* and 2-19 vs Trent Rockets in The Hundred (32.65 points)
- 51* and 2-11 vs Essex in the Vitality Blast (40.06 points)
Recognition and rewards
For her achievements, Bryce received:
- A bespoke Mappin & Webb trophy and £7,500 for the Overall MVP
- An additional trophy and £2,500 for the Metro Bank award
Speaking after the announcement, Bryce said:
“I’m really proud to be able to back it up from last year. We were disappointed not to be in the finals this year, but I was happy to put in the performances for the team. I’ve been more consistent with bat and ball, especially in the 50-over format.”
Emma Lamb and Georgia Adams round out top performers
Emma Lamb finished runner-up in both the Overall MVP and Metro Bank One Day Cup MVP standings with 451.23 total points, including 201.74 in the One Day Cup. She was the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 794 runs at an average of 72.18, scoring two centuries and eight fifties.
Lamb’s top performance came with a stunning 142 off 109 balls against Essex, earning her 30.07 MVP points. Her consistency also saw her return to the England ODI squad ahead of the Women’s ODI World Cup in India and Sri Lanka next month.
Georgia Adams placed third in the Metro Bank MVP race with 187.63 points, thanks to 525 runs and 14 wickets. Her key knock came in the semi-final with an unbeaten 107 to lead Hampshire into the final, where she added 77 runs despite the team falling short to Lancashire.
